Good morning, Advocate readers! Today we take our annual look at how private school tuition has changed since Arkansas enacted its school voucher program. The analysis shows that gaps remain between state funds provided to program participants and average school tuition. Schools are trying to fill that gap with scholarships and other aid. Annual tuition rates at more than half of the schools that applied for next year’s voucher program exceed the $7,208 the state will provide, according to an analysis of 170 application packets the Arkansas Advocate obtained through a public records request.
